04/13 The Missionary Project is due

                                                Adopt a Missionary Project
The purpose of this project is to acquaint you with a missionary who is currently out in the field serving Christ. So many times American Christians forget about the workers we have sent out into the world and we forget to pray for their needs. How many times do you remember to lift these special workers for Christ up in prayer!

Your project is going to be to select a missionary that is serving in the world outside of the U.S. and Canada, and also to be a support to them and join their ministry in prayer.

  • Missionary must be outside U.S.
  • Must have e-mail or address you can mail a letter too
  • You may pick any missionary you wish, but you can’t have the same missionary as someone else.  (Ask around at church or even other teachers here at school if they have friends or relatives you can pray for)

You need to do each of the following:

  1. A world/ continent map with missionary location identified. (Color/ 8.5”x11”) hand drawn, with a key
  2. A list of percentages for each religious group in the area. What is the religious make-up of the area? (see Operation World by Johnstone)
  3. A list of 10 prayer requests for the country or region or specific for your missionary’s job. They might even have a regular e-mail prayer list that they send out.
  4. A copy of 3 encouragement notes you have sent to your missionary. These will be checked and signed by the teacher) E-mail is easiest, Scripture verses or questions about the ministry or prayer items. (must be at least a paragraph long)
  5. Any responses that might have been sent back to you. (Not required because we do not want to make more work for them if they are already fully busy)
  6. To be prepared to pray for you missionary in class.
  7. You must also add one other thing to your project. This is your choice what you would like to add that would relate to the project. You will be graded on your creativity.

Project Due:  April 13th, in class!
No Exceptions, no late projects accepted!
